Project Overview

This comprehensive video branding guideline establishes the visual and technical foundation for Zoho Europe’s video content across brand communications, customer testimonials, and event coverage. Designed to ensure production consistency while maintaining creative quality, these guidelines translate Zoho’s brand identity into clear, actionable video production standards.

The Challenges

In video production, inconsistent brand application and varying technical quality can significantly dilute brand perception and viewer trust. Teams needed precise, enforceable standards that balance production efficiency with brand integrity, ensuring every video reinforces Zoho’s professional identity while maintaining the flexibility needed for diverse content types (brand stories, testimonials, events).

The Solution

I developed a modular video branding system that combines technical production requirements with strategic brand application. The guidelines feature:

  • Production Quality Standards: Rigorous specifications for resolution (1920×1080), frame rates (30-60 fps), and audio capture that ensure professional-grade output across all video types
  • Adaptive Logo Architecture: Context-sensitive logo systems with precise positioning (160px width, 50px padding) that adapt to content type. Zoho logo for brand videos, product logos for testimonials, Zoholics logo for events, while maintaining spatial consistency
  • Subtitle Typography System: Standardized Zoho Puvi Medium at 40pt with -10 letter spacing, positioned 60px from bottom, ensuring legibility across devices and playback environments
  • Unified Brand Closure: Strategic end-frame standards featuring regional URLs (zoho.com/nl) that drive traffic while reinforcing geographic brand presence
  • Thumbnail Consistency: 1280x720px specifications with systematic logo placement that ensures recognizable visual identity in video feeds and search results

Design Concept

The system treats video as a strategic brand touchpoint, not just content output. By establishing rigorous yet adaptable standards, these guidelines ensure that whether viewers encounter a product demo, customer story, or event recap, they experience consistent Zoho brand quality. Each specification serves dual purposes: protecting brand integrity while streamlining production decision-making.
